What is the Blue Moon?
Many of you have already heard the rumors spreading about the new coffee shop called The Blue Moon in Narrows, Virginia. What is it? Where is it? Who opened it?
Well, the Blue Moon Coffee Shop and Emporium is a cafe offering fresh made sandwiches served with potato chips and pickles. Soups and salads are in the planning stage. It is a coffee shop with fresh ground and brewed gourmet coffee beans for espresso, cappuccino, and lattes served with a variety of pastries and baked goods. We, also, serve H & C coffee and JavaFit gourmet coffee. It is a bookstore with a variety of quality used books. It is a gift shop with greeting cards, postcards, jewelry, glassware, collectibles and souvenirs. It is a boutique with soaps, lotions, and soy candles. It is an art gallery featuring regional artists along with vintage prints and frames. We offer internet access and have an internet jukebox on the premises. And, on occasion, we are a venue for live music. So check our newspaper ad in the Virginian Leader for the Saturday that is the closest to the full moon to see who will be performing, the time and the date. We are available, after hours, for private parties and events.
The Blue Moon Emporium is located at 124 MacArthur Lane in Narrows, Virginia; right across the street from the MacArthur Inn. The Blue Moon is another fine entrepreneurial enterprise brought to the Town of Narrows by builder Allen R Neely. Assisting Allen in the planning, design and operation of the Blue Moon is Patti Amos of Pearisburg and Paige Neely of Narrows. We opened June 17, 2010 and look forward to meeting you; so drop by soon!
